Commenting on the news that former RBS Chief Executive Fred Goodwin has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the UK's financial regulator, Liberal Democrat Finance spokesperson Jeremy Purvis MSP said:
"Businesses the length and breadth of Scotland who are still struggling to secure finance will be angered by what they probably consider to be a white wash.
"Catastrophic decisions taken by the previous Royal Bank of Scotland management will cast a cloud over the economy for years to come."
