Following private discussions with the First Minister and Finance Secretary yesterday, Tavish Scott, leader of the Liberal Democrats in Scotland has written to the Scottish Government outlining details of the party's multi strand Economic Storm Rescue Plan.
Tavish Scott MSPCommenting, Mr Scott said:
"The outcome we seek from the Government's Budget will be an Economic Storm Rescue Plan. I have proposed several strands of work to support that plan.
"Our intention is to focus everything the Government does on the recession that has hit Scotland.
"Our proposals have triple benefits. They lock in long term benefits to Scotland and the economy. They will help the Government meet its aims. And they line up the resources for permanent tax cuts for low and middle income earners."
