Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson Alison McInnes MSP has accused the First Minister of hypocrisy over local transport promises.
The First Minister has campaigned for the A90 and A96 to be dualled but failed to include them in the Scottish Government's STPR.
Commenting after a debate in the Scottish Parliament, Mrs McInnes said:
"Today's debate was about the honesty and integrity of Government Ministers.
"In his election address leaflet Alex Salmond pledged to 'lead a step change to bring our beleaguered transport network into the 21st century'. This included the dualling of the A96 and A90.
"The First Minister has signed off a document in Cabinet which excludes these projects, yet he is suggesting, back home, that they will still happen. Alex Salmond is being utterly disingenuous and totally hypocritical.
"The SNP are haemorrhaging credibility at every turn."
